Very Short List points to a new study done in Switzerland based on the effects of Oxytocin on memory.
According to the researchers, their results demonstrate that the “love hormone†plugs directly into the brain’s memory system (and might even lead to new treatments for memory loss). So don’t bother trying to forget about those exes of yours: Thanks to oxytocin, their faces are permanently seared into your consciousness.

The BBC reports that a Ukrainian bride is looking for guests for her side of the wedding.
The woman says in the advertisement: “I’m having a large mixed wedding of about 150 people.
“My partner has loads of family around to invite to the wedding. Unfortunately for me, my family are all in Ukraine so they all can’t make it. Only my mum and dad will be there.”
Volunteers have to send a photograph and write about themselves, but in return they get invited to the reception.
Perfect opportuntity for any “Wedding Crashers”!
Related to an article about Conor Cruise O’Brien’s red bias in RTE. Perhaps the letter was a deliberate fake if they are quoting from the address on the letter. Some of the passages are hilarious in which case, if it was taken seriously, geography lessons should have been required much further up the line.
